Co-hosted by the Pakistan Chinese Association, the Pakistan Chinese Language Education Association, the China-Pakistan Education and Culture Center, and the China-Pakistan Youth Together Home, the 2nd China-Pakistan Children’s Spring Festival Gala and Painting Spring with Innocent Hearts event was recently held in Islamabad. A total of 250 children from both countries gathered to celebrate the Lunar New Year together.
Distinguished guests at the event included Counselor Li Yue from the Consular and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Counselor Wang Shengjie from the Political and News Office, Consul Cai Daofu, President of the Pakistan Chinese Association Raj Lian, Director of the China International Cultural Exchange Foundation’s Hehe Special Fund Qu Feifei, Principal of the China-Pakistan Education and Culture Center and Chairman of the China-Pakistan Youth Exchange Group Ma Bin, as well as Pakistan’s “Guardian of the Chinese Martyrs’ Cemetery” Ali Ahmed, among others.
In their speeches, the guests praised the China-Pakistan Education and Culture Center for its contributions to strengthening the China-Pakistan friendship and expressed their heartfelt wishes and high hopes for the continued development of relations between the two countries.
In his welcoming speech, Principal Ma Bin stated:
“Children are the future pillars of our two nations and the bridge that carries forward China-Pakistan friendship. Through activities like this, we hope to enhance their understanding of each other’s cultures and deepen the friendship between our peoples.”
His words resonated strongly with the audience.
President Raj Lian emphasized the long-standing historical and cultural ties between China and Pakistan, highlighting the increasingly close cooperation between the two nations in recent years. He particularly stressed the crucial role of grassroots cultural exchanges in strengthening emotional bonds between the people of both countries and encouraged the children to become witnesses and ambassadors of the China-Pakistan friendship.
Ali Ahmed, the devoted guardian of the Chinese Martyrs’ Cemetery, shared his heartfelt experiences in simple yet powerful words. His unwavering dedication over the past decade deeply moved everyone present, further reinforcing the significance of China-Pakistan relations.
Counselor Li Yue commended the China-Pakistan Education and Culture Center for its leading role in Chinese language education in Pakistan. He acknowledged the efforts made by Principal Ma Bin and his team in promoting China-Pakistan cultural exchange and Chinese culture. He also provided guidance on further deepening and expanding China-Pakistan cultural cooperation.
Director Qu Feifei elaborated on the importance of cultural exchange from various perspectives and warmly congratulated the successful organization of the event. The guests unanimously agreed that such platforms not only allow children to showcase their talents but also teach them to respect and appreciate different cultural backgrounds through meaningful interactions.
The event was filled with joy and laughter, as children from both countries participated in a variety of cultural performances, including Chinese martial arts, songs, and traditional Pakistani dances. These vibrant performances not only showcased the unique cultural heritage of each nation but also reflected the children’s enthusiasm and admiration for each other’s traditions. Additionally, dozens of collaborative paintings created by children from both countries were exhibited, with phrases such as “Long Live China-Pakistan Friendship” vividly depicted, symbolizing the lasting bond between the two nations.
This celebration was not just a magnificent cultural feast but also a profound exchange of hearts and cultures. It built a bridge of friendship between Chinese and Pakistani children, allowing them to share an unforgettable Lunar New Year together. As the event concluded successfully, it is believed that this pure friendship will grow stronger over time, bearing fruitful results and serving as an important link between the people of China and Pakistan.
