This was truly an unforgettable cultural exchange experience! The children of France Little Panda School not only had the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular performance of the Guangdong Shantou Chaoyang Ximen Yingge Dance Troupe in the city center of Lyon and the 6th District Government Hall, but they also deeply felt the charm of traditional Chinese culture. The powerful impact of the Yingge Dance left a lasting impression on them, and taking a photo with Consul General Yu Jiang as well as being interviewed by journalists made this event even more special and memorable.

After returning to school, Teacher Yuanyuan led the art class children to express their admiration for the Yingge Dance characters through ink painting. This not only deepened the children’s understanding of the culture but also sparked their creativity. Such activities not only broadened the children’s horizons but also promoted the exchange and integration of Chinese and French cultures. It was truly a meaningful experience! A big shoutout to the children’s and teachers’ active participation!

On February 1, 2025, at the invitation of the Consulate General of China in Lyon and local Chinese associations, the Guangdong Shantou Chaoyang Ximen Yingge Dance Troupe performed the Yingge Dance in the city center of Lyon. The event was attended by important figures such as Consul General Yu Jiang, Deputy Mayor of Lyon Metropolis Delormane, and Mayor of Lyon’s 2nd District Olivier, as well as local residents, overseas Chinese, and Chinese nationals, all coming together to experience the charm of Yingge Dance and celebrate the first Spring Festival since its successful UNESCO heritage listing.

The performance of the Guangdong Shantou Chaoyang Ximen Yingge Dance Troupe in Lyon was truly electrifying! The “Chinese battle dance,” the Yingge Dance, with its unique charm and power, successfully ignited the passion of Lyon, attracting enthusiastic participation from local citizens and Chinese communities. This event not only showcased the profound heritage of Chinese culture but also promoted cultural exchange and friendship between China and France. We hope that more such cultural exchange events will take place in the future, allowing the world to better understand China and enabling Chinese culture to continue shining on the global stage!

Incredible! The performance of the Guangdong Shantou Chaoyang Ximen Yingge Dance Troupe in Lyon, France truly showcased the charm of the “Chinese battle dance” to the fullest! The entire pedestrian street was filled with the sound of gongs and drums, accompanied by thunderous applause. The festive atmosphere was strong and lively! Such a scene not only allowed the Chinese community in France to feel the warmth of home but also gave the local French people a close-up experience of the unique allure of Chinese culture.

In December 2023, France Little Panda School and the Shantou Jinyang School Education Group joyfully became sister schools and began an in-depth exchange and collaboration!

In September 2024, the Southwest Primary School of the Shantou Jinyang School Education Group and France Little Panda School jointly launched the Hulusi Instrument Class through a dual-teacher live-streamed classroom. The beautiful Wang Yinting, a teacher from Southwest Primary School, led the students of France Little Panda School into the world of the soft and melodious tunes of the Hulusi, allowing them to experience the charm of Chinese culture! The Jinyang Education Group also generously donated Hulusi instruments, for which we are truly grateful.

President/Principal Luo Jian has been appointed as a Council Member by the Shantou Xinghan Overseas Chinese Education Center.

France Little Panda School was also honored to be invited to participate in the Shantou “Overseas Chinese Letter International Invitational Tournament”, where our students achieved excellent results, winning three gold medals, one silver medal, and four bronze medals. Our school was awarded the Outstanding Organization Award.
